What
We Believe
Although quite
diverse in terms of age, ability, socio-economic status,
political viewpoint, and even theological beliefs, we of the
Donelson church are held together by our firm belief in the
death, resurrection, and future return of Jesus Christ, the Son
of the gracious and loving Father who created all things.
We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers us to live lives of
holiness and that God's will for us is found in the Bible, the
inspired and authoritative Word of God.
Our worship
services are simple and are centered around praising God
for His gifts of creation and redemption through Christ Jesus.
Each week we gather to praise God in worship by celebrating the Lord's supper, a capella singing,
praying, and receiving God's biblical message by
reading scripture. In our attempt
to be like the church of apostolic times, we baptize believers
by immersion for forgiveness of sins and reception of the Holy
Spirit.
