Our Help Center
The Donelson Church of Christ Help Center has earned DCC a reputation in our community as a place to go in time of need. Every Tuesday morning people come to the Help Center to receive food, clothing, and other assistance, along with the compassion and love of Jesus.
The Donelson Church of Christ has always been known for its benevolence, including a clothing pantry that was begun in the basement of the church building. The ministry continued to grow until a facility was built in 1987 on Knobview Dr. directly across from our CAC.
The Help Center contains a large supply of clothing, a pantry of canned goods, some furniture and other items, and a quilting room. DCC members keep the center supplied with financial assistance, food, clothing, and other items. The Help Center also receives donations from members of the community who have heard of this good work. In addition to helping people in our own community, we’ve been able to provide aid to tornado and hurricane victims, and to send supplies to the poor in the mountains of Appalachia.
This ministry is at the heart of our vision to “love the world as Jesus gave himself for the world.”
