Our Help Center

The Donelson Church of Christ Help Center has helped earn us a reputation in our community as a place to go in time of need. Every Tuesday morning people come to the Help Center to receive food, clothing, and other assistance, along with the compassion and love of Jesus.

The Donelson Church of Christ has always been known for its benevolence, including a clothing pantry that was begun in the basement of the church building. The ministry continued to grow until we built a facility across the street from the church in 1987.

The help center stores a large supply of clothing, a pantry of canned goods, some furniture and other items, and a quilting room. Members of our church keep the center supplied with financial assistance, food, clothing, and other items. But we also receive donations from others in the Donelson area who have heard of this good work. In addition to helping people in our own community, we’ve been able to provide aid to tornado and hurricane victims, and to send supplies to the poor in the mountains of Appalachia.

This ministry is at the heart of our vision to “love the world as Jesus gave himself for the world.”
