Backpack Sunday

Once again, we have a wonderful opportunity to serve the Lord. For the last few years, the members of our congregation have supplied the children we serve through our Inner City Ministries with school
supplies. It is that time again. We will collect items and donations and deliver the backpacks to these children during the week prior to school beginning. 

Lists are available for various grade levels. You may also purchase the things your child would normally need at the beginning of school. If you do not want to shop, you may make a donation. Please contact Tish Smedley (883-9597) if you have any questions.

“Tax-Free Days” set aside by the governor for school supplies are not until Aug. 6-8. Sorry this does not help us with our drive, but we need to have backpacks ready to be delivered before then. School begins on Aug. 12, and it takes some time to get these bags ready to go.
