Rob McRay began serving as the pulpit minister at Donelson in August 2003, after serving churches in Houston and Milwaukee. Rob has degrees in biblical studies from Abilene Christian University and Wheaton College. Beginning in 2010 Rob and his wife Judy will be planting a new church in the central city of Nashville. This ministry will try to reach those who live in and around the downtown area and to serve the poor in the city. Judy is a registered nurse at Summit Hospital. Their daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Ryan Sutton, live in Franklin, TN, and their son, Zack, is in Dallas, TX. Rob’s parents, John & Annette McRay, are also members at Donelson.

Jim Parnell

Jim was born in Nashville and has ministered at the DCC for over 35 years. He earned his bachelor’s degree in communications from Lipscomb University and his master’s degree in clinical psychology from Middle Tennessee State University. He is also a charter member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. He currently leads the DCC Counseling Ministry and also serves the congregation in an administrative role. In 2007, Jim was chosen as Chaplain for Summit Medical Center. Jim and Libby have been married for more than 38 years and have two adult married sons. Ross and his wife, Stacy, have a son, Jackson. Graham and and his wife, Ashley, are also members at Donelson.

Frank Batson

Frank Batson has been a member of the Donelson church for over 34 years. A native Nashvillian, Frank grew up at the Lebanon Road Church of Christ and was later minister for the Corinth Church of Christ. At Donelson, Frank serves as both elder and associate minister. His goal is to see people’s lives transformed through the Word of God and a loving relationship with God. For many years Frank has been in the home building business in Nashville. Frank and Judy Batson have seven children and six grandchildren.

Danny Gregg

Danny Gregg has served as the youth minister since 1989. A native Oklahoman, Danny has a bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Oklahoma. His responsibilities include ministering to the youth at Donelson; keeping families informed and equipped in the spiritual formation of our children; teaching classes; equipping small group coaches in weekly meetings with teens; and planning youth events, camps, retreats, mission trips, and service projects. Danny’s goals are to see our youth become devoted followers of our Lord Jesus Christ in loving God, loving each other, loving their families, and loving the world as Jesus gave Himself for the world. Danny and his wife, Lisa, have four children: Cassidy, Cody, Carson, and Colt.

Rachel Bright

Rachel Bright has been at Donelson since February 2008. Born in Nashville into a minister’s family, she has also lived in Virginia, Florida and Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Rachel has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education, specializing in music. Before coming to Donelson, she served the Metro Church in Winter Springs, Fla. Her responsibilities at Donelson are to work with children ages 0 to 5th grade, which includes curriculum planning, and work with the leadership to help minister to families. Rachel’s goal is to teach the Word of God in a fun and exciting way and to provide families with encouragement and materials to help teach the Bible at home.  Rachel and her husband, Brian, have one son, Jonah.
